What we do

Full bathroom renovations

A full bathroom renovation runs from strip-out to handover. We take the old room back to the studs, sort the waterproofing and the rough-in, then build back up — floor and wall tiling, fixtures, tapware, screens, lighting, and ventilation. The crew handles every trade in sequence so the job moves without gaps. Tom scopes the work at the site visit and the same crew sees it through, so nothing falls between sub-contractors. You get one schedule, one standard of finish, and a room built to last.

Ensuite renovations

Ensuites are small rooms with no margin for error: every millimetre is spoken for, and one badly placed fixture throws out the whole layout. We're used to working in tight footprints — wall-hung vanities and toilets to free up floor, recessed shaving cabinets and niches for storage, and tiling chosen to make a compact room feel larger. Waterproofing and floor falls matter more here than anywhere, because there's nowhere for water to go wrong quietly. We plan the layout properly before a single tile is cut.

Layout reconfigurations

Sometimes the bathroom isn't tired, it's just the wrong shape. We handle reconfigurations that move plumbing, shift or remove walls, widen doorways, and relocate the shower, bath, or vanity into a layout that works. Moving services is engineered and certified, not improvised, and any structural change is signed off properly. The result is a room laid out for how you use it now — better flow, better storage, and fixtures where you'd actually want them rather than where the original plumber found it easiest.

Waterproofing and tanking

Waterproofing is the part of a bathroom you never see and can't afford to get wrong. Done badly, waterproofing is the most common reason bathrooms fail — and the damage shows up months or years later, in places it's expensive to reach. We tank wet areas to AS 3740, the Australian standard for waterproofing domestic wet areas — correct membranes, proper falls to the drain, and the right detailing at junctions and penetrations. It's completed and documented before tiling starts. It is not where we cut corners, because it's the part that protects everything else.

Custom vanities and joinery

The vanity does most of the work in a bathroom: storage, bench space, and much of the room's character. We design and build vanities and bathroom joinery to suit the space rather than buying off the shelf, made by hand in our Melbourne workshop. That means cabinetry sized to the wall, soft-close drawers routed around the plumbing, and stone benchtops templated to fit. Finishes range from natural timber veneer to spray-finished polyurethane. Wall-hung or floor-standing, the joinery is built to handle a wet room for the long term.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

It depends on scope. A straightforward refit on the existing layout moves faster than a full reconfiguration with relocated plumbing and structural change. Most full bathroom renovations run a few weeks on site once demolition starts — allowing for waterproofing cure times and tiling, which can't be rushed. We give you a realistic build timeline as part of the detailed quote, after the site visit, not before.
